This regal blue-green hosta has an upright, vase-like habit. Sturdy petioles raise the gently undulating leaves well above the soil, making room for smaller plants to grow around its base. Lavender flowers crown the foliage in summer.

Foliage: Frosty, blue-green foliage growing in an upright, vase-shaped clump. The leaves are heart-shaped and deeply veined with wavy edges. Sturdy, nearly vertical petioles lift the leaves well off the ground.
Flowers: Lavender, tube-shaped flowers that grow on scapes above the foliage. Blooms mid to late summer.
Plant Origin: East Asia, primarily Japan and Korea. Most commercially available hostas are hybrids.
Wildlife Support: Hummingbirds and some bees enjoy the flowers. A favorite treat for our local deer.
Fertilizing: Apply compost in early spring before new growth emerges.
