Persimmon trees can grow 15-30' tall, depending on the soil type and conditions. They are widely adaptable to a range of conditions, and have deep and hardy root systems.
Ripe fruits have a saccharin flavor and are excellent dried or eaten fresh. When unripe, fruit is very bitter and astringent. Two trees are required for fruit.
