WATER & SOIL: Average, well-drained soil; will need additional water in times of drought
HABIT: Narrow Upright; naturally slender form tapering to a spire-like tip
FOLIAGE: Evergreen; Feathery sprays of lush green, fragrant foliage
PLANT ORIGIN: A cross between the western red cedar and Japanese arborvitae
WILDLIFE SUPPORT: May provide some nesting sites and shelter for birds and small mammals, but does not serve as much of a food source for local insects and wildlife.
FERTILIZING: Fertilize once in the spring after the last freeze, and again in the fall at least a month before the first freeze with a mild evergreen fertilizer such as Holly-tone.
