Time in a Bottle features elongated, wavy-edged, yellow to chartreuse leaves, topped in late summer with purple blooms on reddish scapes. This cultivar's unique flowers never open, frozen in time as bottle-shaped buds that stay on the plant for longer than other hostas keep their blooms. Time in a Bottle's yellow-green leaves and deep purple scapes really pop when paired with deep blues and greens.
