It’s All About the Plants and You
Bates Nursery voted ‘Best of Nashville’ 14th time in Readers’ poll; 1st in Writers’ Choice!
It is most certainly an honor. Whenever someone takes the time to vote for anything, effort is required. With the ever-increasing list of distractions life has for us, I think it is a ‘big deal’ when people care enough to share their opinion. For the 14th time, the readers of the “Nashville Scene” have voted Bates Nursery and Garden Center, ‘Best of Nashville’! It is no secret that is impossible without the support of our ever-loyal BatesRewards members, like you. To do it once is extremely exciting; 14 times is mind-boggling. I can’t thank you enough.
Additionally, we were honored by receiving a Writers’ Choice for ‘Best Plant Shop’, as chosen by Matt Fox of the Scene. Matt was also extremely gracious in his assessment of this newsletter. I always appreciate hearing that; it is especially meaningful when those kind words come from another writer. Thank you Matt!
Ever since my grandmother potted her first geraniums in her hothouse 85 years ago, the Bates family has been about cultivating two things: plants and relationships. To be sure, the business has changed greatly over these many years, but our approach has not. Our focus in business is to provide the best products and service available anywhere, not just in Nashville. Whether it’s our Julie Patterson purchasing the finest plants from across the country, or any one of our stellar sales staff, our collective goal is to offer unmatched selection and expertise. We are definitely plant geeks, but we strive to be helpful and friendly plant geeks.
It is my hope I will be both helpful and friendly, as I have been invited to participate in: Taking Root, a community tree workshop that is promoted by the Nashville Tree Foundation on Saturday October 21st beginning at 1pm. Click here for a complete list of workshop details.
Fall weather is fabulous and we’re here to help you get the most out of your efforts.
