Time to Vote for Best of Nashville 2010
50/50 Sale extended through August 26
Mid-August marks the annual voting event in middle Tennessee. I’m not talking politics; I am speaking of the Best Of Nashville voting put forth by the
Nashville Scene. It gives us all a chance to extol the virtues of our favorite…whatever. The Scene has a tabbed format that makes the various categories easily parsed.
Voting started recently and continues on for a bit. If that seems vague, it is. I couldn’t find the voting dates; they were probably hiding in front of me. Anyway, you can vote daily, if you like, until voting ends. You must vote in at least 20 categories for your vote to count. “Here comes the wind-up and the pitch…”
It will come as no surprise to you as to why I mention the Best of Nashville voting. We would like your vote. Simply go to the “Goods and Services” tab and scroll down to Best Local Nursery/Garden Center voting link; click on it, type in, Bates Nursery and Garden Center, and select vote. I ask also for your consideration in voting in other areas (you gotta vote for 20 anyway, right?) Under the “
Media” tab, please muse upon Best Local Marketing Campaign/Promotion; you might vote for BatesRewards/Bates Nursery & Garden Center. A bit further down is: Best Person or Business to Follow on Twitter; please vote BatesNursery. The last of my shamelessly self-promoting requests is for Best Radio Personality or Personalities; here I ask you give Josh Cary & David Bates, the nod. (You might not realize we have been doing a Saturday morning radio show from 7-9am on 99.7FM WTN for over twelve years, “The At Home Show”.)
One final request: I ask you contemplate voting for The Farm House Restaurant at Fontanel. Go to the “Food and Drink” tab and scroll down near the bottom to Best New Restaurant (opened since Oct. 2009). Hey, you don’t have to take my word for it, plan on having breakfast, lunch or dinner when you next come out to the nursery! They’re less than a mile down the street.
Since I have asked so much; the least I can do is extend the 50/50 Sale for another week. We have revised the list (call for complete list or availability) and expanded our selection. No doubt, we are all grateful for the wonderful rain and cooler temperatures. Sounds like it’s time to plant and save big with our 50/50 Sale. We have at least fifty, make that seventy items that are all 50% off, now through Thursday August 26, 2010.
Thank you for your votes; enjoy the garden this weekend,
