Countdown to Autumn Begins

Last chance to vote Bates Nursery & Garden Center, “Best of Nashville”

With fall just a week away, the plants have been rolling in. It’s the time of year when “my guys” suffer from mixed emotions. I know they’re excited to see new stuff come in; they’re just feeling a bit overwhelmed presently. We have received shipments from all 4 Monrovia locations this week, three different greenhouse growers and another couple of local growers. What that means for you is a selection second-to-none in middle Tennessee.

While there are many new and exciting new arrivals, probably none more exciting than Plentifall™ Pansies. Plentifall™ Pansies are the first trailing pansy. This makes them great for hanging baskets, strawberry jars, along the top of a wall, anywhere you want something to spill color over the edge…consider Plentifall™ Pansies. Here’s a short informational video: http://youtu.be/b-xtaNXukP4

We’re hoping you’ll consider voting for us “Best of Nashville” in the Nashville Scene’s annual poll. We have had the good fortune to have won several times. It is always an honor. Last year we came up short. We would greatly appreciate your vote for us! Simply go to www.nashvillescene.com and click on the “Best of Nashville” link. If you have voted for us already, we thank you! You can vote daily, but voting ends this Friday, Sept. 16th. We appreciate your consideration and thank you in advance!

In addition to numerous new plants and arrivals, we are also extending our special on #3 Double Pink Knockout roses; quantity purchasing by you, our BatesRewards member entitles you to prices as low as $9.99 on these regularly $27.99 roses! Don’t delay; once current stock is gone, so is this great opportunity. Speaking of opportunity, the time for lawn overseeding is here. We continue to have great prices on Gold Standard® Turf-type Fescue and organic base starter fertilizer. These prices will extend through the fall seeding season.

There’s no need to wait for the official start of autumn; we’ve already begun! Come on out, we’ll be glad to help you get started too. By the way, we will be open on Sundays, beginning September 25th (the first Sunday of fall) from Noon until 4pm.

Everything for your autumn garden is here at Bates; we look forward to your visit,

David Bates
