Being Cool in the Landscape

Extended… 33% Discount on all plants continues

The November chill puts a bit of extra pep in your gardening step. High winds and rains have brought down most of the leaves, and then there’s putting a few finishing touches on your landscape. Whatever your plans are in the garden, the weekend weather again looks really good.

This is a perfect time to get your landscape right. Plants that are planted in the fall season have nearly a full growing season advantage on those planted in the spring: The root systems continue to grow through the winter. Because planting in fall gives those plants a head-start, the likelihood of success through the summer is tremendously increased, with less frequent watering.

It amazes me how some people can look so fashionable doing yard chores. It never works out that way for me. I live in a neighborhood that is much more respectable than I probably deserve. The beautiful people are mulching leaves and planting pansies and looking good doing it. Don’t get me wrong, I admire those who can look good doing manual labor; I usually wind up looking like “Pig-Pen”.

Despite my soil-laden angst, we continue to work through our fabulous selection of plants. As we consolidate all we have to offer, the depth of our plant selection becomes ever more apparent. We really have a lot to choose from …still. So our 33% discount on all plant material will continue through November 23rd.
