Mission: possible?

Don’t forget Dad; 50% off any one item for BatesRewards members

As summer approaches, and the crowds of spring wane, we begin to shift our attention to things…that need attention. Every project that has been set-aside during spring now beckons. We have begun an archeological dig at Mt. Plastico; a.k.a. ‘The nursery container recycling pile’. We also are working on several structures damaged in the flood two years ago. It may seem as though we have ‘drug our feet’, still dealing with flood issues. Overcoming life’s little tribulations takes time… and money.

You are no doubt familiar with our EarthMix® line of products. We are in the process of re-vamping a formerly flooded building into a material bagging facility. This will be a multi-year endeavor. Rome wasn’t built in a day. There is a way you can help. We are in the process of applying for a grant.
Mission: Small Business is a grant being awarded to 12 businesses for $250,000.00 each. There is the application process; that’s my part. The other part is where you come in. We need a minimum of 250 votes to be eligible. As a friend of Bates Nursery, if I may ask a favor, please go to www.missionsmallbusiness.com . Once there, click: Log In & Support with Facebook. Go to the SEARCH box and type in: Bates Nursery. Our name will appear; the blue Vote button is on the right. That’s it!

Father’s Day is Sunday, as you know. Do something nice for the old guy. (I can get away with the using ‘old guy’ reference because I am one.) Get something for Dad or in memory of Dad or even for yourself. This week’s special: 50% off Any Single Item. That means one, as in non-plural. The individual item of your choice, for all BatesRewards members will be half-off or 50%, whichever you prefer. Sale prices are excluded from patio furniture, gazebos and storage buildings.

One final note: This Sunday is our last Sunday to be open for the spring season. New hours effective Monday June 18th are: Monday – Saturday 8am – 4pm; Closed Sundays beginning June 24th.

The iced bottled water is a-waiting…
